What is the Resilience Training for Students Programme about?
Are you one of the thousands of people who work with young people and feel like you, your staff and your students have a mountain to climb due to increasing pressure and demands? Are you concerned that your staff and the young people you work with are suffering from negative stress and are in danger of burning out?
This resilience training for students programme is about developing the mental and emotional resilience to cope with pressures and thrive academically, professionally and personally, resulting in greater levels of wellbeing and work/life balance.
Who is the Resilience Training for Students Programme for?
This Developing Resilience Training course is suitable for groups of adults who work with young people and groups of young people aged from 11 to 25.

You will be able to:
- Be in the director’s seat of your own wellbeing and help others to do the same
- Develop resourcefulness to cope with pressures and thrive academically, professionally and personally, resulting in a greater level of wellbeing and life satisfaction
- Identify and act on opportunities to channel stress in a healthy, constructive way
- Experience the benefit of talking openly and without judgement about your feelings (positive and negative)
- Identify and help yourself and others to reframe negative self-talk
- Enjoy creating healthy, constructive and powerful relationships, personally and professionally
- Identify and work with your own and others’ natural mood patterns in a complementary way
- Enjoy setting yourself and accomplishing appropriate challenges and helping others to do the same
How can it be delivered?
In groups of up to 20 participants with one or two facilitators
Five 2 hour sessions over the course of two days, a week, or weekly over five weeks
Using whiteboard, flipchart, coloured board pens, post-it notes etc.
Use DASS21 and MTQ48 immediately after and at 3 and 6 months after via email to evaluate effectiveness how training is impacting resilience and wellbeing of young people (or other suitable impact measures)
