Catherine Hamilton Leadership Development Consultant for InterCHANGECatherine is a leadership development consultant with experience in coaching and facilitating learning interventions to CEO level. She is an engaging, thoughtful and challenging developer of people.

With an operational background in the gas and electricity industry and experience of managing remote and office based teams, Catherine has been involved with identifying, designing and implementing learning and development solutions to a wide range of clients over the last 25 years. Catherine has successfully managed large scale change programmes, designed assessment and induction programmes and has designed and facilitated leadership programmes around relationships, communications, inclusion, change and personal impact.

Catherine has worked in partnership with coaching experts to deliver coaching programmes, coaches on a 1:1 and small group basis and favours experiential learning, where the application to workplace is followed through. Catherine bases her development ideas on real scenarios and has a wide experience of developing competency frameworks and training strategies for new business. Catherine is passionate about developing others and providing accessible and memorable learning and has mentored graduates, high potential managers and women throughout their career path, as well as designing specific mentoring training to meet diversity needs.

Catherine has an honours degree in Sociology, an NVQ in Learning & Development and a Coaching Diploma, is MBTi and SDI accredited and specialises in helping others raise their self-awareness and supporting choices and development to change behaviour through coaching and facilitation.

Catherine’s business development success includes:

Programme managed and drove a new global inclusion and diversity strategy and embedding inclusive leadership throughout the organisation, so that recruitment, succession and retention were improved and a range of external recognition awards achieved.

Designed and managed the rollout of a behavioural change programme to drive performance and focus equally on behaviour as the achievement of task.

Catherine’s Personal Success includes:

Won the award for Outstanding Contribution to Women’s Learning & Development – in recognition of her initiation and development of: two in-house women’s development programmes, a Women’s Network, specific Mentoring training and a Co Coaching programme.

Catherine was a judge for the BiTC Opportunity Now Inclusive Culture Award and Agility Award and was a finalist in the ORC Equality Award. She is also a business mentor for entrepreneurs and small start-ups.

Outside of work she helps run a community gospel choir, leads a junior church group for teenagers, facilitates marriage preparation workshops and takes an active leadership role at a local community centre. She also runs a local women’s business network group, inspiring and building confidence in new business owners.
