Karen Tidsall Founder and Director

I am dedicated to helping people grow their talents and flourish in life. For the last 30 years I have expressed this calling through facilitating development workshops for organisations in the private, public and non-profit sectors. In 2013 I founded InterCHANGE People Development and feel privileged to work with both an inspiring team of trainers and facilitators and a diverse range of amazing clients.
The driving force behind all my activities is to provide a quality service which combines rigour with sensitivity. My overall objective is to contribute to the creation of sustainable and healthy work environments which inspire high levels of performance and client satisfaction whilst also promoting staff well-being.
After moving to Derbyshire in 2016 I discovered Heart of Living Yoga Foundation which took me on a transformative path of Yoga and Heart-Centered Meditation. Last year I completed the Heart Meditation Facilitator course, a profound and life changing experience. My daily meditation practice is giving rise to a sustained sense of calm and peace, which, in turn, is strengthening my capacity to support others to do the same.
I hold a BA in English Literature, BAC accredited Diploma in Person-Centered Counselling, a certificate in Diversity Training, obtained at the Scottish Police College, OCR Level 3 Award, Assessing Competence in the Work Environment and graduated as a qualified Heart Meditation Facilitator in March 2020 with the Heart of Living Yoga Foundation. I draw on several paradigms to inform my work including humanistic therapy, Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, and Marshall Rosenberg’s Non-violent Communication. I have regular supervision which enables me to maintain a healthy perspective and keen insight. I am committed to my ongoing spiritual, professional and personal development.
I adore singing, gardening and being in nature, revel in Yoga and meditation, and exhilarated by outdoor swimming!
